28: How We Are Growing and Scaling Our Business

Launching your own business is a huge leap of faithโ€” in yourself and in your product. It can be scary.

With patience, determination, a lot of elbow grease and a bit of luck, that leap pays off, but whoa. The time in the interim can be scary.

As your business grows but the hours in a day most decidedly do not, it can become overwhelming. You might make the decision to relinquish some control and grow your team. That can be scary, too.

We talk a lot about growing and scaling your business, and we talk a lot about how normal it is to feel scared at every stage. But it’s important that you know this: it can also feel amazing. YOU DID THAT. YOU ARE AWESOME.

Now it’s time to reflect on what scares you, the obstacles you’ve faced and the things you’ve accomplished, the opportunities you’ve missed and the reasons why, your goals for the future of your business and the steps you need to take to get there. Never miss a chance to give yourself a mental high five, to wring lessons from missteps, and to adjust your goals as needed. That’s your recipe for business success.

In this episode of the Businessese Influencer Marketing Podcast, we’re pulling back the curtain and discussing how we grew and scaled OUR businesses, and the highs and lows we met along the way. Tune in to hear:

  • background on both of our businesses
  • how one business grew faster than the other, and how we dealt with that
  • the mistakes we’ve made and the lessons we learned from them
  • one big goal for the year that we’re re-evaluating
  • our advice for others as they wrestle with growing and scaling their businesses.

It’s critical to remember that all businesses are different and there is no one foolproof blueprint for success, but we hope this episode resonates with you and bolsters your motivation as you grow and scale your business.
